Lasseter Highway

Fuel is available along the Lasseter Highway, but there are relatively few fuel stops compared to urban highways. Travellers should plan ahead, particularly if towing a caravan, driving a motorhome or travelling outside normal business hours. There are 3 stops that provide petrol along the Lasseter Highway.

Shell Yulara

Found at 257 Yulara Drive, just off the Lasseter Highway, next to the Ayers Rock Resort & the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The station is open every day and also has an attached convenience store for cold drinks, snacks, an ATM and toilet. This is the closest fuel to Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park for those visiting the region.

Curtin Springs

The Curtin Springs is a convenient fuel stop on the Lasseter Highway, located approximately 85 km east of Yulara and 100 km west of Erldunda. The roadhouse offers unleaded petrol and diesel, making it a popular place to refuel before continuing to Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park, or Kings Canyon. Travellers will also find a range of amenities, including accommodation including comfortable rooms or camping sites, a café, basic groceries and visitor services such as the famous Paper Tour, making Curtin Springs an ideal place to take a break and prepare for the next stage of the journey.

Erldunda Desert Oaks Resort

Erldunda is located at the junction of the Stuart and Lasseter Highway on a sealed road. It stocks petrol and diesel, it has convenience store, a bar and accommodation for drivers who need a rest before continuing their journey. For those who just need a short rest-stop, local Emus can provide a great entertainment while breaking up the journey. 

Before setting off, plan your fuel stops, check opening hours in remote areas, ensure your vehicle has sufficient fuel to reach the next stop with a safety margin, and check the NT Government's MyFuel NT website for the latest fuel prices.
