Audio Guides

So you've established you want the flexibility of going where you want, when you want, but there is one thing you are missing out on by not being with a tour group. You miss out on all the interesting facts, stories and information you learn from the tour guides commentary. Well fear not, there is a solution! You can have the best of both worlds, by using an audio guide.

Choose DIY Tourguide to get your commentary for the journey through the West MacDonnell Ranges, as well as the drive from Alice Springs to Uluru. And once you're at Uluru, pickup the Uluru Audio Guide to learn about the Anangu culture and local wildlife of Uluru.

If this is something you're interested in, write "I'm interested in an audio guide" to the Additional Information field of your car hire quote request or simply purchase through our website.

Road conditions in the Red Centre can vary significantly from day to day. It's a good idea to check the road conditions before you set out on your journey.
Despite the sunny climate, it does occasionally rain heavily in Central Australia. Unless you are sure of the water depth, flow rate and any road damage, do not attempt to cross flooded bridges or causeways.
Dust on outback roads can also pose a danger, obscuring vision of the road ahead. It’s best to wait for it to settle and travel carefully with headlights on.
