Best Cafes in Alice Springs

1. Page 27 Cafe

Page 27’s leaf-filled laneway is Alice Springs’ answer to Melbourne’s Degraves Street. Located inside Fan Arcade (and yes, there are fans to keep you cool) you’ll find locals and visitors dining side-by-side for brunch. Their breakfast and lunch menus offer plenty of tasty favourites like eggs benedict, through to vegetarian and diet-friendly options, like Kathmandu buckwheat pancakes. Wash it down with locally roasted Duyu coffee, a cold-pressed juice or smoothie, and you’ll be ready to tackle more sightseeing in the afternoon.

8. Trail Station Cafe

Trail Station Cafe is the perfect pit-stop before exploring the historic Alice Springs Telegraph Station, whether you’re on foot, trail running or mountain biking. Order a coffee, tea or snack while buying your entry ticket to the Telegraph Station historic museum, or cool down among the gum trees after exploring the many multi-purpose trails.

9. The Bakery

A little taste of Europe on Todd Mall, The Bakery is a local institution for artisanal breads, pastries and, of course, coffee. Trading Wednesday to Sunday, their fresh loaves, sweet treats, pies and sandwiches are freshly made on site each day. Rise early and jostle for space at the pie warmer for a Kangaroo potato-top pie, or a warm Vegemite and cheese croissant. Enjoy your baked goods with locally roasted Duyu coffee outside on the couch, or take it away and enjoy at the scenic spot of your choosing.

10. The Goods

True to its name, The Goods serves up carefully crafted espresso using its own Duyu Coffee Roasters blend. For the coffee purists, single origin beans are brewed as espresso or filter – you can also pick-up a bag of ground beans for your camping trip! Their breads and spreads and jaffles are a tasty breakfast option. Pull-up a green chair on the pavement with the locals, and their four-legged friends, and enjoy the good tunes in the sunshine.
