7 Nights of camping in some of Central Australia's best camping spots. Grab your camping gear, rent a camper trailer, caravan or motorhome from Alice Springs and start your adventure.
Over 7 days there is lots to explore in the Red Centre! Starting with the Alice Springs Desert Park you will get an introduction to the native flora and fauna, including the free flying bird show. Continue on to the West Macs and the beautiful waterholes to try some short walks along the ranges. Take a drive along the 4WD track (the Mereenie Loop) down to Kings Canyon to stay at Kings Creek Station where there are a variety of camping experiences on offer. Discover the Watarrka National Park, take a hike up the Canyon Rim Walk and learn about the local country at Karrke Cultural Tours. Later in the week continue on to Uluru to further uncover the natural wonders of Central Australia. Experience the Field of Light, walk the base of Uluru, get in touch with the Aboriginal culture at the Cultural Centre, hike the Valley of the Winds at Kata Tjuta, and take a camel ride. On your way back to Alice Springs stop into Curtin Springs to do the paper making tour and see the salt lakes.
