4 Night Alice Springs Cycling Explorer
An adventure for the active family to take on some of Alice Springs' scenic cycling tracks, riding a bike around some of our iconic locations and landscapes. This itinerary has it all: adventure, history and nature - while riding on bicycle-friendly routes.
Enjoy some of the mountain bike tracks at Alice Springs Telegraph Station Historical Reserve and take a tour around the birthplace of Alice Springs. Follow the heritage trail and check out ANZAC Hill, Olive Pink Botanical Gardens, Royal Flying Doctors and more. The ride takes you out to Rungutjirpa / Simpsons Gap via the purpose-built meandering bike track. Visit the local Alice Springs Desert Park to discover the native wildlife, then check out the stars at the Earth Sanctuary's astronomy tour. The last day is a mountain bike ride between Emily and Jessie Gap on the new Yeperenye track, this route only launched in mid 2021 supported by the traditional owners of the land in the East MacDonnell Ranges. Walk into both the gaps to check out some aboriginal rock art.
