Hear from Rulla Kelly-Mansell as a part of the talks program at Parrtjima 2023.
As one half of the dynamic First Nations hip hop duo MARLON x RULLA, they won best Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Artist at the South Australian Music Awards 2022. A cancer survivor, Rulla is also a presenter with ABC Adelaide, charity founder of Make Runs Maxi, Young Australian of the Year finalist (2020) and the 2020 NAIDOC Tasmanian Aboriginal of the Year. A proud TulampangaKooparoona Niara man from northern Lutruwita (Tasmania), his family are Moonbird people from the Furneaux Islands, with his mother and grandparents born and raised on the Flinders Islands. Rulla has worked most of his life as a keeper, specifically with native Tasmanian animals, at TrowunnaWildlife Sanctuary, which is a privately operated business run by his father.
Entry to talks will be on a first-come, first-served basis so make sure you arrive early.
