The Australian Festival of transport is rebadged from what was known as the Annual Truckies Reunion.

The Shell Rimula Wall of Fame inductions are to highlight the contribution that road transport, as an industry, has made to the economic wellbeing of Australia.

The festival is an opportunity to host a weekend of celebration, bringing together Australia’s transport community and recognising influential members of the industry. Highlighting the development of our wealth producing industries and the ingenuity of our trucking pioneers.

For many it is the chance to gather with lifelong friends to share their trials and tribulations from those that have travelled the same road, whilst also creating an opportunity for family members to feel proud of those that have been inducted onto the prestigious Wall of Fame.

Through inducting pioneers onto the Wall of Fame and displaying the real-life stories we recognise that road transport is so much more than just those that drive the trucks. While they deserve every pat on the back, there are many others in the industry who are to be honoured that may not sit behind a wheel.
