Desert Gardens Hotel

RIDER REQUIREMENTS:

In order to engage in any Uluru Segway Tours activities participants need to:

- be a minimum of 12 years of age, and if under 18 years of age be accompanied by an adult;
- weight between 45-117kg/99-257lbs a set out by Segway PT manufacturer;
- correctly wear the provided helmet at all times;
- be able to stand un-aided for the entire length of the tour;
- be able to walk unassisted;
- be able to step on-to and off-of the Segway, approximately 20cm (8inches);
- be free of drugs or alcohol;
- have vision that is of a standard that will allow safe operation of a Segway PT;
- inform Uluru Segway Tours of any health or vision conditions that may impact their participation in the activity

People with serious health problems/back injuries or who are pregnant should not participate in any Segway activities.

Maruku Arts- Tours & Workshops

Mutitjulu community

We are a proud Indigenous Tourism Champion and a not-for-profit art & craft corporation 100% owned and controlled by Anangu (Aboriginal people from the Central and Western deserts) for over 30 years. Approximately 900 artists make up the collective that is Maruku. We exist to benefit the artists, their families, their communities and play a key role in keeping the traditional cultural practices strong and alive throughout the Anangu lands. Maruku is a regional art centre and, therefore, a representative of Anangu culture and art.

Our commitment to excellence is driven by the fact that we are a direct link between Anangu culture and tourism to the area, a role we take seriously. We want to educate our visitors about Anangu culture and history; in turn cultivating respect and understanding for this ancient culture and its differences to our own.

In contracting to provide accommodation and/or arrange flights and transfers for you Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia does so strictly upon these Booking Terms & Conditions and Conditions of Carriage. These Booking Terms and Conditions and Conditions of Carriage are set out on Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia website at www.voyages.com.au/terms/. By booking directly through Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia or www.voyages.com.au you warrant and agree that you have read these Booking Terms & Conditions and Conditions of Carriage and agree to be bound by them.

Uluru Sunrise Segway (USSR) (04:57 to 09:57) Terms and Conditions:

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Our cancellation policy is 24 hours. You are free to amend or cancel with no charge if we have been given more than 24 hours notice. If you cancel or alter your tour within 24 hours of the confirmed tour time no refund will be provided. Refunds will not be provided to passengers who are “no-shows”. Extenuating circumstances requiring tour refunds will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Refunds will not be issued once the Segway training has commenced unless an Uluru Segway Tours guide deems any participant to be incapable of riding a Segway Personal Transporter then in such a case a refund may be granted.
Gift certificates are not transferable for cash however bookings made using a gift certificate can be rescheduled.

ALTERATION/CANCELLATION BY US:
Uluru Segway Tours reserves the right to cancel or alter tours or activities where necessary due to; operational restrictions weather conditions mechanical defects or any other changes to operational conditions. In such instances participants will be either – offered an alternative activity rescheduled to a suitable time or issued a refund. Other than this participants will have no claim to any additional compensation relating to the cancellation of the activity.

RIDE AGREEMENT:
Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken to prevent accident and injury Uluru Segway Tours will not be responsible for any accident or injury damage or loss and this condition of contract may be pleaded by the operator and owner as a bar to any action proceeding for breech of contract negligence or any other liability sustained such as injury damage or loss.

All participants are required to sign the waiver release and indemnity form prior to engaging in any activities offered by Uluru Segway Tours. The form includes but is not limited to the statements that the participant has read and through signing the form accepts their obligations and engages in the activity at their own risk. Participants under the age of 18 years will require their parent/guardian to sign the forms on their behalf.

RIGHT OF REFUSAL:
Uluru Segway Tours reserves the right to prohibit any participant prior to the start of the tour during the training session or tour itself from participating in the activity if the participant fails to meet the rider requirements. Additionally participants may be removed from the activity if they do not follow directions or instructions issued to them by Uluru Segway Tours staff; in these instances no refund will be given.

PERSONAL ITEMS:
Uluru Segway tours does not accept responsibility for loss or damage of any personal items stored at the site or carried on the participant or Segway PT during Segway activities.

We request that you please read over the following terms and conditions before booking one of our tours. Please ensure you have also read and understand the itinerary and requirements of the tour you are booking. By booking one of our tours you agree to the conditions of travel set out below:

CANCELLATION POLICY

Emu Run will charge the following fees upon cancellation:
Day Tours & Transfers
• 3 or more days prior to departure – 100% refund on full cost of tour less a $50 cancellation fee
• Within 2 days of departure – 100% cancellation fee on full cost of tour

Camping Tours Overnight Tours & Packages
• 8 or more days prior to departure – 100% refund on full cost of tour/package less a $50 cancellation fee
• Within 7 days of departure – 100% cancellation fee on full cost of tour/package

BOOKING AMENDMENTS
The following applies to changes made to tour type or departure date of an existing booking:
- 8 days or more from departure – $50 admin fee as well as any difference in tour prices will apply
- Within 7 days of departure – full cancellation fees and the full cost of the new tour will apply

*Please note: if you fail to join a tour join it after departure or leave it prior to its completion no refund will be given.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
Emu Run recommends that all travellers take out travel insurance to protect you from costs of illness injury and/or cancellation fees.

AUTHORITY ON TOUR
Each of our tours is run by a tour guide who will be in charge of making decisions relating to the safety and well-being of the group. Any passengers who do not comply with the tour guides decisions or act in a manner where they may interfere with the safety or well-being of others in the group may be asked to leave the tour. No refund will be given under these circumstances.

ACCEPTANCE OF RISK
While on tour you will be visiting places where the dangers and challenges will be greater than those present in daily lives. There may be a higher degree of personal risk due to participation on the tour. You acknowledge and accept that your decision to travel on our tour is made in light of consideration of this and you are aware of the personal risks involved.

COMPLAINTS & CLAIMS
Please inform your tour guide if you have a complaint about your trip so that they have the opportunity to rectify the matter. If the matter is not resolved please contact us in writing after your tour.

PHOTOS & MARKETING
By booking our tours you consent to us using images of you that are taken on tour for any advertising or promotional purposes. You grant us permission to use these images royalty free for publicity and promotional purposes worldwide.

SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS & FOOD ALLERGIES
We provide healthy quality meals on our tours. We are able to cater for one of the following special dietary requests upon request: vegetarian gluten free or dairy free. If you have a food allergy (eg peanuts) please advise at the time of booking and carry any necessary medication with you on tour.

AGE & FITNESS LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
For our camping tours the minimum age is 8 and for all other tours a minimum age of 2 applies. All travellers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for their care. Any packages that include dorm accommodation are not available for children however we can create a suitable package for families upon request. We have no upper age limit on our tours although some trips can be physically demanding. For our camping tours a real spirit of adventure and a medium level of fitness is required as the tours are fast paced. It is important to note that Central Australia experiences extreme weather conditions during summer. Participation is required from passengers on our camping tours for things such as meal preparation and firewood collection (as requested by guide).

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Emu Run Experience reserves the right to amend the itinerary of any of the tours and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. No refunds will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from any cause including severe weather conditions or mechanical failure. A minimum number of passengers is required to operate each tour. It may therefore be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure and to offer an alternative or full refund for that tour. We accept no responsibility for loss stolen or damaged property and recommend that all passengers take out adequate travel insurance. Emu Run will accept no responsibility for any injury illness or other such accident sustained whilst on tour. Any children travelling will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian. All passengers must wear shoes at all times and be wearing hats and sunscreen.

UPDATING THE CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL
Emu Run Experience reserves the right to update and/or alter the conditions of travel and fine print at any time. It is the agents and passengers responsibility to be familiar with the most up to date conditions of travel which are available on our website.

Cancellations & Refunds – Cancellations 48h prior to commencement will incur a 30% administration fee. Cancellations within 48h of commencement will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Children – Child rates apply to children who are between 5-15 years old inclusive. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Family – family rates apply to 2 adults & 2 children who are between 5-15 years
Itinerary – Maruku reserves the right to alter all of its advertised products if required. This could be as a result of weather, unforeseen circumstances and/or cultural reasons. Product durations may vary from advertised times.
Cultural obligations – Please be aware that Maruku Anangu employees are traditional Aboriginal people with strong cultural obligations. In the event of ceremonial duties or unforeseen circumstances Maruku may not be able to provide the specified product as advertised.
Close out dates – Each session needs a minimum of 5 pax to operate. Maruku does not operate on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day each year. Other close out dates will be advised separately.
