The National Road Transport Hall of Fame is a unique museum showcasing the rich and important history of the road and transport industry and the essential role it's played in servicing remote areas of Australia and the Outback.
Description
It takes a lateral approach to the restoration of its world using vehicles as props to the trials and tribulations of road transport pioneers. It covers all forms of road transport from the camel trains of old, to today's modern road trains and stretchliner coaches. With vehicles displayed in their working-day condition, maintained by bush mechanics and engineers in those days, the National Road Transport Hall of Fame aims to truly represent Australia's road transport history.
It also showcases the rich history of the Ghan Railway with a beautifully preserved carriage on site. It's an attraction that has something for every member of the family.
