Kings Creek Station is a working cattle station with genuine outback hospitality offering visitors an authentic glimpse of the lifestyle, history and landscape of outback Central Australia.

Description

There is a range of accommodation to suit all styles of travel with facilities for camping, basic bush tent accommodation, and the unique luxurious Dreamtime Escarpment glamping.

Kings Creek Station was established in 1981 by Ian and Lyn Conway. This was originally vacant crown land with no infrastructure - no water, no electricity, no communications, no roads. Originally the vision was to run the Station as a cattle property however Ian and Lynne's natural flair for hospitality has since seen tourism develop as a major part of the station. Kings Creek Station still runs cattle and exports camels.

Directions

Kings Creek Station is located down the Luritja Road. You can travel via the Mereenie Loop Road, the Ernest Giles Road (both dirt and approximately 300kms from Alice Springs), or the Luritja Road via Lasseter Highway (sealed and 450kms from Alice Springs).

If travelling from Ayers Rock or Erldunda on the Lasseter Highway the turn off is at the Luritja junction. Distance from Ayers Rock is 300kms.

Before travelling on the dirt roads it is highly recommended to check the conditions of the roads before your journey.

These spacious and beautifully appointed tents allow you to really experience iconic Australian camping on a truly genuine but luxurious level.

These luxury secluded glamping tents are positioned along the escarpment and elevated to provide maximum airflow and views. The focus is on comfort with quality linens and decor, king-size or twin beds, a private bathroom with a difference, luxury amenities, bathrobe and slippers, power, heating, air-conditioning and coffee pod machine.

Lounge in the pool or on the deck with the vast desert as your back drop and keep an eye out for wildlife that may wander into view. Stargaze at the desert skies or toast marshmallows by your private fire.

The self-cook bush inspired BBQ dinner and breakfast hamper will be provided to create a memorable outback dining experience. Enjoy a selection of drinks provided to complement your meals.

Bush Tents

Cabin

Located against the backdrop of the George Gill Ranges, our unique Bush Tents offer comfortable and affordable accommodation.

Kings Creek Station Bush Tents are permanent canvas cabins constructed of steel frames, solid floors and lockable doors. Featuring light and power the cabins are twin share with all linen provided. There are shared toilet and shower facilities, kitchen, grassed picnic area and swimming pool.

The kitchen provides tea & coffee facilities, microwave, fridge and gas BBQ; perfect if you want to prepare your own meal! Alternatively order from our cafe menu, which caters for all budgets and tastes. BBQ packs are available at the shop along with bottled wine and beer.

Bush Tents are provided on a bed and breakfast basis. The Bushmans style breakfast consists of: bacon & eggs, toast and tea & coffee, and will be served at the Cafe.

The cabins sleep up to two adults with two single beds per cabin only. A single swag can be added to the floor of the cabin to sleep a child (10yrs or under), upon request - swag hire is $34 per swag.

Cancellation Policy

Within a 24 hour period 100% will be charged for cancellation or no show.
Within a 48 hour period 50% will be charged for cancellations.
Within a 1 month period 20% will be charged for cancellations.
Can be subject to management discretion eg; extreme weather conditions if policy is enforced.
