Hale River Homestead at Old Ambalindum is a station stay situated 115km North East of Alice Springs along the Ross Highway in the picturesque East MacDonnell Ranges.

Come and discover the hidden gem of Central Australia. Visit the historic town of Arltunga, immerse yourself in the history of a working cattle station or just relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery and serene atmosphere.

Surrounded by some spectacular scenery, there are interesting bush walks.

We offer powered and unpowered campsites, self contained cottages and shared accommodation.

Directions

Approximately 115km North East of Alice Springs.

Travel out of Alice on the Ross River Highway past Emily and Jessie Gap. Continue along for approximately 70km. Pass Trephina Gorge and take the next left along Arltunga Tourist Drive. Continue on for approximately 50km and turn left at the new road signposted as Hale River Homestead.
