Tourism Top End, in partnership with the Australian Tourism Industry Council, is able to offer members this Nationally aligned COVID19 Clean Practicing Business module developed in conjunction with Work Safe Australia and the Quality Tourism Framework (QTF). Importantly, Tourism Top End advocates that all businesses should have first completed the NTG COVID-19 Safety Plan Checklist.

This online program will take about one to two hours to complete developing a risk assessment and management program suitable to your business’s tourism needs. This module is provide customised daily, weekly, monthly and annual cleaning checklists to support businesses in their efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to provide an assurance to visitors that these steps are being taken.

Some aspects of this COVID19 Clean Practicing Business module will be slightly above the minimum expectations NT Health and as it is inked to a current National framework developed by the Australian Tourism Industry Council.

Step 1: Complete the NTG's COVID-19 Safety Plan checklist

You must have a NTG COVID-19 Safety Plan to show how you will meet your requirements around the key principles of physical distancing and hygiene practices.

Once you have submitted your online COVID-19 Safety Plan checklist form, you can begin planning for your restart (stage 2) from noon on 15 May 2020. For example, contacting staff, taking bookings and ordering products and supplies.

Step 2: Complete the COVID Clean Program

COVID Clean is a program offered complimentary for members of Tourism Top End and Tourism Central Australia.
It has been designed to support businesses in their efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to provide an assurance to visitors that these steps are being taken. It acts as a checklist that will guide tourism businesses through the recommended steps to return to business. It is designed to be in compliance with NT Health directives, and recommended Workplace Health & Safety and infection control standards and has been specifically tailored for tourism businesses. 

This does not replace the Northern Territory Government's COVID-19 Safety Plan checklist.

If your business is already accredited or star rated with QTF, it will use your existing enrolment information. COVID19 Business Recovery Plan: 

The COVID19 Business Recovery Plan is an additional free resource available through the QTF platform. It is designed as a self-led business development tool which supports businesses to undertake critical thinking on the current situation and recovery options during the various stages of restrictions being lifted. 

The Recovery Plan focuses on five key activities:
- Assess the current situation 
- Business continuity action plan 
- Staff management 
- Financial analysis 
- Operational recovery 
- Marketing and communications
