Small Tourism Operator award winning outback caravan park. Pet Friendly, 250 acres of native scrub, generator power, clean amenities, breakfasts/dinner/drinks delivered to your site!

Campoven dinners and entertainment four nights a week from April until October.

Evening Entertainment includes...

Wed and Sat from 6pm.
Enjoy a formal country roast straight from the campoven to your plate! $20 per person includes;
A tour of Kate's Campoven Kitchen
Roast beef, veggies and gravy (please notify Reception of any dietry requirements when booking)
A one-hour history show after dinner outlines the pioneering history of Kate's family who settled the area in 1923.

Friday nights from 6pm
Baked spuds stuffed a selection of tasy fillings $10 each followed by Paddymelon Bowls! Fun for all ages - first prize is a free night on a powered site!

Sunday Nights from 6pm
Fish and Chips followed by Campfire Karaoke. $9 for one piece of fish and $15 for two.

Directions

140km NE of Alice Springs on the Plenty Highway, sealed road to the front gate.

Heading North from Alice Springs
70km North from Alice Springs along the Stuart Highway, turn East and travel 70km along the Plenty Highway. Please be aware that it is a one-lane sealed road and be cautious of on-coming traffic. Gemtree is on your right as you cross the Gillen Creek.

Coming South from Tennant Creek
Travel South along the Stuart Highway 425km, turn East onto the Plenty Highway and travel a further 70km.

Following the Binns Track/Settlers Trail North from Ross River, Via Arltunga, Hale River Homestead and Mud Tank.
This is a dirt track, for camper trailers and off-road vans, 4WD only. Join the sealed Plenty Highway at Mud Tank and travel West 7.5 km to Gemtree. This journey can take up to four hours coming direct from Alice Springs. There can be up to four gates that need to be opened - if a gate is closed, close it behind you. Travelling West from Boulia to Gemtree across the Donahue and Plenty Highways
Gemtree is approximately 8 hours in a direct drive from Boulia (670km). Most of the journey is on dirt beef-roads, recommended for camper trailers, off-road vans and 4WD. Fuel is available at Tobermorey and Jervois, it is advisable to carry 2 spares and plenty of water.

Our unpowered sites are scattered around the outskirts of our caravan park, spread amongst bush scrub surrounding a neat, clean amenities block. Pet friendly, kids stay FREE (to 18 years of age). Fire pit sites available upon request, byo wood. Bore water is drinkable but scarce, so plan accordingly. Meals and drinks can be delivered to sites - collect order form from reception.

Powered Site

Spacious powered sites nestled in bush scrub surrounding a neat, clean amenities block. Pet friendly, kids stay FREE (to 18 years of age). Fire pit sites available upon request, byo wood. Bore water is drinkable but scarce, so plan accordingly. Generated power runs from 6:30am - 10:30pm. Meals and drinks can be delivered to sites - collect order form from reception.

Cancellation Policy

$85 deposit required when booking cabins.
48 hours notice of cancellation required for deposit refund.
No refund for cancellation under 48 hours.
