Owner operated, 5th generation local family, offering pioneering history shows and tag-along daily fossicking tours to the rich Centralian Gemfields... Red Earth, Red Centre, Red Gems!

Description

A true oasis in the mulga country just north of the spectacular East MacDonnell Ranges, Gemtree is the gateway to the Central Australian gemfields which span the length of the nearby Harts Ranges. The park offers a quiet, spacious bush setting with modern clean amenities. Gemtree has a choice of accommodation options to suit your needs and bookings are essential, so give them a call.

After a day of fossicking on tour, relax under the stars around your campfire. You will need to bring your own wood but campfires are encouraged in the fire pits provided, to add that magical touch to your outback night. Secluded bush camping sites provide the feeling of being the only people around whether you bring your own caravan or tent. Alternatively, Gemtree's cabins offer extra comfort to ensure your experience will be memorable.

Weekend campoven dinners, served to you at lantern-lit tables are a popular new edition to the activities offered followed by light entertainment - and for bushwalkers and birdwatchers, the 3.5 kilometre self-guided nature trail is not to be missed.

Tagalong history tours are also available, when numbers permit.
