An Alice Springs-based singer/songwriter, Paul Ah Chee ‘Ngala’ is Wangkangurru, Yangkuntjarra and Arrernte (southern). He has loved music since he was a young boy, but it wasn't until he formed AMUNDA with three other local musicians in 1989 that he began to play in earnest.AMUNDA enjoyed success with appearances at major festivals such as Big Day Out and the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
Paul has recently embarked on a solo project, Nowhere to Hide, which was mainly recorded in Melbourne with award-winning producer Daniel Jauregui. The vinyl and CD, along with a digital download of Nowhere to Hide, was released in 2022. Paul, who recently played at the Sydney Fringe Festival and has also supported Archie Roach at the 2022 Adelaide Fringe Festival, intends to perform a new single Morning Star live at Parrtjima 2023, along with some AMUNDA favourites
