Description

Mt Zeil Wilderness Park offers a unique outback camping experience situated in the shadows of the tallest mountain the Northern Territory, just 200kms NW of Alice Springs.

Here we have a range of unpowered bush campsites generously spaced 400m apart offering a sense of privacy and seclusion. Easily accommodating small groups, as well as caravans and motorhomes with 2WD access to most areas. Each site is set up with a long-drop toilet, shower pad for bush showers and a firepit BBQ with wood for visitor convenience.

A small convenience store with conventional bathroom facilities is located nearby at the Reception.

Developed from an idea to share the extraordinary beauty of Central Australia and to provide easier access to the Northern Territory’s tallest peak, the Wilderness Park encompasses 5000-hectares of arid and mountain landscapes, surrounded by cattle stations, the M’Bunghara Aboriginal Outstation, and the West MacDonnell National Park.

Explore the dry creek beds, stunning lookouts, and untouched rugged terrain of this unique outback environment.
