Knowledge Intersections Symposium 2022

The Knowledge Intersections Symposium is set to return in November 2022 with its fifth edition: ‘Channels for a thriving desert’. The Symposium invites early-career and established researchers, PhD students and local organisations to come together and exchange knowledge in support of learnings and progression for central Australia. This year’s theme will cast a light on central Australian projects from the past, present and future, creating synergies to strengthen our region and pave the way forward.

Held over 22-23 November at the Desert Knowledge Precinct, this two-day event builds on the success of previous editions to include:

  • Welcome function and networking session
  • Extended keynote session featuring local trailblazers
  • Presentation sessions to showcase and exchange local knowledge
  • Forum for central Australian researchers and enterprises
  • Plenary to unpack ‘Channels for a thriving desert’ and review highlights

Join us as we recognise and celebrate the region’s best work in education, arts, language, health, primary prevention, enterprise, and more!

Registration for presenters and attendees is now open - Here

The Symposium is co-hosted by the Desert Knowledge Research Institute, Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education, Charles Darwin University, and the Desert Peoples Centre.
