Parrtjima Workshop - Metal Sculptures Workshop

Artists from the community of Titjikala in the Simpson Desert are renowned for their miniature horse sculptures, known as ‘Nanju’. The sculptures are created from wire, scrap metal and other salvaged materials and cleverly transformed into ‘bush toys’. Get thrifty and create your own take-home sculpture with artists of the Tapatjatjaka Art Centre including David Wallace, a proud Ltyentye Apurte man now living as a prominent artist in Titjikala.

Due to the nature of the workshop and the tools used, participants must be aged 12 or older.

Parrtjima workshops have limited capacity. Spots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
