Chamber of Commerce - Business at Sunset

Wednesday 8th July

The Sturt Desert Pea House is owned by Ashley and Lyndee Severin.

As a long standing family in Central Australia, working across both the pastoral and tourism industries, they know and love and are strongly committed to the region.

Most primary industry families know and appreciate that it is important to maintain some of their future that is not entirely tied up in ‘the farm’.

Ashley and Lyndee decided to show their faith in Central Australia. They have made an ongoing commitment in Alice Springs with the purchase of the Sturt Desert Pea House.

By opening of this stunning property to visitors; for a stay during their holiday to the Red Centre, as an alternative for functions, family celebrations and business events, they hope that their love of The Centre will be shared by others.

Sturt Desert Pea House is an outstanding rural property on the outskirts of Alice Springs.

Built of mud brick and local stone, the house also has recycled timbers and doors from an iconic building in Alice Springs that was demolished in the 1980s.

However, the space has all the modcons you would expect in an inviting family home.

The space

A lovely native garden with a large lawned area give a delightful outdoor space. The gazebo is home to striking swing chairs where you can sit and enjoy each other’s company.

The large saltwater swimming pool is a focal point for a visit to the desert!

The beautiful old style furniture is befitting of this grand lady, allowing visitors that sense of times past with the modern fittings that make it, elegant, comfortable and inviting.

Multiple leadlight windows showcase the Sturt’s Desert Pea flower.

4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, mezzanine floor, balcony, outdoor BBQ area and lovely fenced, salt water pool, it is a perfect option for family get togethers, friends travelling together, your wedding gathering, wedding photos, retreats or small business events.

Don’t forget your business cards for the draw!
